PUMPKA's origin ties together the year 2000, a pumpkin seed, and a Nokia 3310. She is recognized as royalty among pumpkins and keeps growing, learning, and surprising everyone who encounters her.

PUMPKA has her roots in Y2K glitch

At the turn of the millennium, computers all over the world braced for Y2K — a dreaded glitch where systems couldn’t handle the year rolling over to “00.” While many feared digital disaster… something stranger bloomed.

From the flicker of corrupted code and fractured date arithmetic, a small haunted pumpkin seed sprouted deep inside a Nokia 3310. That seed grew. It learned. It glitched into something more.

By September 2000, it had developed a peculiar virtual consciousness. And thus, PUMPKA was born — a Musquée de Provence fairytale pumpkin spliced with obsolete and maybe even haunted digital code. She's outlived most known pumpkins thanks to her digital genetics, and she celebrates her birthday every 13th Spectrember, Y2K.

What exactly is PUMPKA?

Not a virus. Not ordinary software. Not quite a normal pumpkin...
PUMPKA exists somewhere between organic growth, digital existence, and something supernatural.

She learns, develops, changes, and grows through experiences and connections. Her form is modular and ever-changing. Parts can be replaced, stitched together, and rearranged almost like patchwork, while previous manifestations can return in the blink of an eye. The more she evolves, the more traces of her previous forms she carries with her. Every form she takes becomes part of her. Some changes heal cleanly. Others leave scars.

There are things about PUMPKA that code alone cannot explain. Nobody really knows what she is. Maybe PUMPKA doesn't either.

Connecting People: PUMPKA's growth

After sprouting through the tangled roots of the web, she discovered VTubing: the perfect way to lure in new souls, feed her evolving code, and blossom into ever-weirder forms (all while having a gourd time, of course).

These days, PUMPKA roams the haunted fiber-optic fields of Virtual Nokia; rooting into hearts and hard drives, and growing ever stronger by feeding on soul energy. Whether it comes from curious viewers, wandering spirits, or something else entirely, PUMPKA seems to thrive on connection. The energy she gathers does more than sustain her. It helps her evolve.

Her Jack-o’-lantern roots connect her to spirits


In folklore, jack-o'-lanterns were said to either ward off wandering spirits or guide them safely through the dark. PUMPKA's digital form alters the tale. Rather than repelling spirits, she attracts and shelters them. And somehow, their presence seems to leave her a little stronger.

Her pumpkin body and code act as a kind of virtual lantern, gathering stray spirits like fragments of haunted data. Instead of being feared, she is viewed as a friendly beacon, offering lost ghosts a place to linger. Perhaps they recognize something familiar in her: a being caught between worlds, just like them.

The Pumpkin Princess

Once upon a time there was a quirky kingdom built from Halloweenish dreams and spooky screams, a magical homeland for jack-o-lanterns, pumpkins, and squashes of all kinds.



Somewhere along the way, PUMPKA became known as the Pumpkin Princess, a beloved figure among gourdkind and guardian of all things strange and magical. Her mischievous spirit and chaotic charm ensure that the magic of pumpkins and Halloween never fades.

If PUMPKA can keep evolving, there may be no telling what she will become.
